Kamren Ackerman’s passion for physical therapy and sports performance is not just a profession, but a calling. His academic journey commenced at Benedictine University, where he graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, emphasizing Pre-Physical Therapy, fueled by his experiences as a committed baseball student-athlete.

In 2017, Kamren’s path took a significant turn as he was accepted into the Azusa Pacific University Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. His dedication and hard work paid off when he graduated in December 2020 with a 4.0 GPA, marking the start of an impressive professional journey.

Post-graduation, Kamren’s pursuit of excellence in physical therapy continued to shine. He completed an Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Residency at Kaiser Permanente in 2021, laying a strong foundation in orthopaedic care. This dedication was further recognized in 2022 when he earned the title of Board-Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS).

But Kamren didn’t stop there. In the same year, he expanded his expertise by undertaking a Spine Rehabilitation Fellowship at Kaiser Permanente while winning a research award for manipulation in people with low back pain, focusing on specialized spinal care. His drive for continuous improvement propelled him into completing a Sports and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation Fellowship in 2023, where he became a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy (FAAOMPT) while winning another research award for individuals recovering from ACL surgery. This achievement was a significant milestone in his career, adding to his credentials and expertise in the field.

Moreover, in 2023, Kamren achieved another significant milestone by becoming a Board-Certified Sports Clinical Specialist (SCS), reinforcing his status as an expert in optimizing athletic performance and addressing sports-related injuries.

Today, Kamren is the proud owner and operator of Kam Physical Therapy & Performance. His practice is dedicated to helping individuals achieve not only peak performance in sports but also a pain-free, active lifestyle. Kamren’s vision extends beyond the clinic as he strives to empower people from all walks of life to rediscover their motivation and movement, charting a path towards a healthier, more dynamic life.
